Panchtantra is a book written by Pandit Vishnu Sharma. This wonderful book contains a lot of tales, many a times main characters from animal kingdom, to make it more interesting and easy to recall narratives. Each tale has a relevant moral for the practical world.
Originally this book was written to educate a king’s five foolish sons, who were totally unaware about real world problems and lacked problem solving skills. Since Vishnu Sharma was a renowned for his wisdom then, King sent his sons to him for education and learning of practical wisdom. Vishnu Sharma created a series of stories which became a milestone for many gurukuls and teachers later on. You could still share some of the tales with your kids even today as it is interesting and rich with practical wisdom.
