References for treatment of lower back sciatica pain

How to deal with sciatica back pain..

I incurred by back pain why doing crunches. Its not that crunches are harmful It was actually the fact that I was over doing it and was doing it with weight more than my body could bear. However I started having sever pain in my lower back and it curtailed my crunches routine completely. I Consulted a a renowned orthopedist. He told me that I was having Lumbago sciatica in my lower spine. I was put on medication and was asked to rest for week. Although I took the rest and took medications as suggested my back pain still persisted. I tried acupuncture and found that it actually it takes a long to show results in sciatica and finally I started searching for answers for this on Youtube. I found many exercises and videos for this. Few of the videos which actually drew my attention and I tried as well are as below. Please note that I am still trying these and not a qualified doctors. You must take your doctors advice before trying any of these exercises or therapies.

One thing which I haven’t tried and actually read about was the therapy by Chiropractors . I don’t have any experience on this yest but any of yo could throw some light on this, it would be great help
